With my college education in Horticultural Sciences, 20+ years of experience, and a keen talent for the craft, I can provide for you material lists, step-by-step instructions for DIY installation, or full computer mockups that can be used to find the best deal when searching for an installation contractor. We always start with a consultation to discover the needs of the site and of the homeowner. Some clients only need a little advice and guidance while others need the full computer generated design to help them see what their garden can become. - Consultation: We meet at the site location. I'll listen as you explain the challenges and dreams for the garden. Everyone has different knowledge and abilities when it comes to gardening. Some like to spend all day in the garden and others like to enjoy their garden while staring out the window of their home. I'll listen to you and create a landscape that will be the perfect fit for you.
- We Problem-solve the trouble areas: Drainage, shade, privacy. We listen to your wants and needs, likes and dislikes, and your willingness or ability to maintain the landscape. We want to create a landscape that will be inviting and intriguing.
- Design Sketch: We draw/sketch out the landscape and gardens. Depending on the level of service, I can also make a full computer-generated drawing, allowing you to physically see what it would look like.
- Plants and Materials: I’ll consult you on what materials will work best and last the longest. I will provide a complete plant list for you to use. We will talk about what to expect as the plant grows and proper care instructions.
